Requesting time off

You request time off via the green button in the top right of your Pulse. Depending on your role this button is called Request time off (employee) or Book time off (HR admin). You can also click Request time off from You → Time off.

Who is this time off for?

As an HR admin you first choose who the time off is for. You can select yourself or search for a colleague using the search field. As a regular employee you skip this step and go directly to the request form.

Filling in the request form

Type: Choose the type of time off, for example Holiday, Unpaid leave, Maternity leave, Paternity leave, Parental leave, Compassionate leave, Mental health day, Sabbatical or Training. Which types are available depends on the time off policy of your company.

When: Choose how long the time off lasts:

  • ½ day — half a working day
  • Full day — one full working day
  • Multiple days — a consecutive period with a from and to date

Note (optional): Add a comment if needed or desired.

Click Request time off or Book time off to submit the request. You'll then see a confirmation and the time off appears directly in your overview under You → Time off with the status Pending approval.

Viewing your time off overview

Go to You → Time off for a complete overview of your balances and requests. You can see per time off type how many days have been approved, how many are pending and how many you have left. All submitted requests are listed below with their status: Pending approval, Approved or Cancelled.

Note: You can cancel time off via the three dots next to a request or approved time off in your overview. A cancellation request also needs to be approved by an HR admin.
