Getting to know your Pulse
What is Pulse?
Pulse is the first thing you see when you log in to Heartwork. It's your personal overview: at a glance, you can see what's coming up, what needs your attention, and what's happening with your colleagues.
What's on Pulse?
- Coming up for you: This shows your next planned time off. Click the item to view the details or open the request.
- Your action items: Things that need your attention appear here — such as a time off request from a colleague waiting for your approval. Click any action item to go directly to it.
- Celebrations: Heartwork lets you know when a colleague has a birthday, so you can congratulate them.
- Who's away: A quick overview of colleagues who are absent today, including the reason (holiday, sick leave). Click "View calendar" in the left menu for the full overview.
What can you do from Pulse?
In the top right corner of the screen you'll find two buttons that let you take action directly:
- Book time off: Start a time off request right away.
- Report sick: Report yourself as sick without navigating anywhere else.
New account? Here's what you'll see when you first log in
If you've just created an account, a "Get started with Heartwork" checklist appears on Pulse. It guides you through the initial setup — from adding your company description to inviting your first colleague. You can close the checklist at any time using the X in the top right corner. Once all steps are completed, it disappears automatically.
